Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC)
Description
The C47B/M and C40B represent the
latest innovations in the Model 250
line. Incorporation of Full Authority
Digital Engine Control (FADEC) reduces
pilot workload and enhances overall
safety through improvements in power
turbine governing, and torque and
temperature limiting.
Maintenance costs are reduced with the
incorporation of an automatic starting
routine and over-temperature protection.
Exceedance recording and simplified
troubleshooting are also key benefits.
Features
- Automatic starting with hot start avoidance
- Reduces pilot workload
- Auto-relight
- Auto-transfer to 30 sec OEI (twin engine)
- Selectable torque/temp matching (twin engine)
- Isochronous governing of rotor speed
- Local anticipation and enhanced rotor speed control
- Engine-driven dedicated electrical power source
